WARSAW — A GoFundMe has been established for the family of two Warsaw children who drowned near the northwest side of Center Lake.
At 12:27 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, emergency personnel responded to Gilliam Drive North for a reported double drowning. Two children were pulled from the water and resuscitative efforts were underway as the initial crews arrived.
Hudson Baldridge, 2, was taken to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital and pronounced deceased a short time later. His twin brother, Benson, was airlifted by Lutheran Air Ambulance from nearby Central Park and taken to a Fort Wayne hospital.
According to the GoFundMe, Benson will make a full recovery. An MRI scan showed Benson has no brain damage.
The GoFundMe will go toward covering funeral expenses, hospital bills, and ongoing support for the family. As of 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, the GoFundMe has raised over $21,000, surpassing its current $20,000 goal.
